EdPublica is an award-winning, global, English-language multimedia publication committed to advancing public-interest science and education journalism. Headquartered in Kochi, India, with contributors and collaborators across continents, we tell deeply reported, evidence-based stories that connect local realities to global debates.

At EdPublica, we decode the world through data, science, and human insight. Our core coverage spans climate change and environmental policy, education systems and learning science, innovation and technology, global health, astronomy, space science, and physics — alongside evidence-backed reporting on society, governance, and the future of knowledge.

Why We Exist

EdPublica was created to challenge the crisis of misinformation, to counter pseudoscience, and to restore trust in journalism through clarity, accuracy and integrity.

The world’s biggest issues—from climate change to education reform—require journalism that is guided by science, not speculation.

We also exist to confront the deep gender imbalance in science.

UNESCO data shows that only one in three researchers globally is a woman, and representation drops even lower in physics, computing, engineering and leadership roles.

Through initiatives like our Women in Science section, we amplify the voices, insights, and journeys of women shaping global research.

EdPublica’s journalism extends across a family of platforms designed to strengthen global scientific literacy. Our flagship digital newsroom EdPublica.com delivers data-driven global reporting, while our premium print & digital magazine Education Publica brings in-depth essays on science, climate, and knowledge. Dipin Damodharan,
Co-Founder
& Editor-in Chief

Dipin Damodharan is the Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of EdPublica, and an award-winning journalist, editor, and media entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience shaping public-interest journalism in India. His work spans science, climate, education, and evidence-based policy reporting.

He is an Internews Earth Journalism Network (EJN) Fellow focusing on climate and environmental reporting, and a member of the Science Journalists’ Association of India (SJAI), contributing to national conversations on science communication and media integrity.

Dipin has held senior editorial leadership roles across multiple publications. He was also the founding editor of Future Kerala Business Daily, becoming one of the country’s youngest chief editors at its launch. He was also the cofounder and editor of The Profit News. Dipin served as founding editor of Business Voice Magazine, a business and policy publication, and previously worked as Managing Editor of Science Indica. He also founded Education Post Online, one of India’s early digital platforms for education journalism. At DC Media—the magazine division of Asia’s leading publishing house, DC Books—he went on to serve as Editorial Head.

His writing has appeared in major global and national outlets, including The Huffington Post, The Himalayan Times, Education Insider, India Today, DailyO, Manorama Online, The Better India, and Asian Educator, among others. His interest in learning sciences and pedagogy has also led him to contribute internationally, including essays for Multiple Intelligences Oasis—among them his widely circulated piece, “Why Teachers Should Embrace Multiple Intelligences.”

Dipin’s editorial philosophy centres on data-driven, solutions-oriented, and constructive storytelling, with a firm commitment to combating misinformation and strengthening public trust in science and education journalism.
